New Ambulance at Fire Station Three

Sept 24th ….Fire station 3 on Old Taylor Street, members of the Vista Fire Department along with the Mayor and City Council members entered into service a fourth ambulance for the City of Vista. Rescue ambulance 123 will improve and enhance the fire and rescue response to the citizens of Vista. The ambulance is staffed by two firefighter/paramedics who can provide life saving medical care to patients. The firefighter/paramedics are also trained in firefighting and rescue response.

“The Fire Department appreciates the City Council and the citizens of Vista for their ongoing support of public safety. Many members of the Fire Department worked hard to make this improvement in service delivery a reality”, according to City of Vista Fire Chief Jeff Hahn.

The new ambulance at station three will add to the three ambulances that are currently in service in Vista. In addition to the ambulances, the City of Vista Fire Department has 5 fire engines, a ladder truck, and battalion chief on duty everyday for a total of 27 emergency responders. In 2016 the fire department responded to 14,138 calls for service.
