Just over 25 years ago, 7-Eleven established “Operation Chill” as a community outreach program to enhance relationships between the police and young people. Each year, 7-Eleven donates free Slurpee coupons to police departments to hand out to kids they encounter throughout their shift. The Escondido Police Department has proudly partnered with 7-Eleven to bring a little cheer to our youth and on July 19, reps from 7- Eleven dropped off this year’s stack of coupons. We are looking forward to passing out coupons to some thirsty recipients!
