One person found dead inside a residence in Vista

On April 23, 2025, at about 10am, deputies from the Vista Patrol Station responded to the 700 block of N. Citrus Ave., in the city of Vista, to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies made entry into the residence and found a deceased adult female with obvious signs of trauma. Deputies conducted a safety sweep of the home and located a barricaded adult male inside a bedroom. Sheriff’s SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were requested and arrived on scene to deescalate the situation. The man was taken safely into custody and arrested for murder. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, pending confirmation and notification of family members.
Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation. Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident. There are no outstanding suspects and no apparent danger to the community.

Homicidio – Vista
Una persona fue encontrada muerta dentro de una residencia en Vista.
El 23 de abril de 2025, alrededor de las 10 a.m., los agentes de la Estación de Patrulla de Vista respondieron a la cuadra 700 de N. Citrus Ave., en la ciudad de Vista, para realizar un control de bienestar. A su llegada, los agentes entraron en la residencia y encontraron a una mujer adulta fallecida con signos evidentes de trauma. Los agentes realizaron un barrido de seguridad de la casa y localizaron a un hombre adulto atrincherado dentro de un dormitorio. Se solicitó al grupo tactico de SWAT del alguacil y a los negociadores de crisis que llegaron a la escena para calmar la situación. El hombre fue puesto bajo custodia y arrestado por asesinato. La identidad de la víctima no se ha dado a conocer en este momento, a la espera de la confirmación y notificación a los familiares.
Los detectives de homicidios del alguacil continúan su investigación. En esta etapa de la investigación, la motivación y las circunstancias del crimen aún están bajo investigación. Sobre la base de la información recopilada hasta ahora, parece tratarse de un incidente aislado. No hay sospechosos pendientes y no hay peligro aparente para la comunidad.
