Vista, CA – [August 25, 2025] – Guajome Schools is proud to announce the grand opening of its newly redesigned library, now named The Discovery Center at Guajome Schools. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 4:45 PM at Guajome Schools, 2000 N. Santa Fe Avenue, Vista, CA 92083. The event coincides with Back to School Night and will feature the Vista Chamber of Commerce hosting the ribbon cutting.

The Discovery Center was made possible through the generous support of the County of San Diego’s Neighborhood Reinvestment Program Funds, the Girard Foundation, and the Guajome Park Academy Foundation. The redesigned space has been created to foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning among students.

“Our students deserve a space that sparks imagination and supports academic excellence,” said Kevin Humphrey, Superintendent of Guajome Schools. “The Discovery Center at Guajome Schools represents more than just a library, it is a hub for innovation, collaboration, and discovery. We are deeply grateful to our partners and community supporters for helping us create an environment that will benefit students for years to come.”

The public is invited to join Guajome Schools for this milestone event, celebrate the achievement, and tour the new space.
