CARLSBAD — Local coffee writer and podcaster Ryan Woldt continues to grow his brand, reach and partners with a new collaboration.
His journey through the specialty coffee world has been anything but conventional. From barista to podcast host, Woldt, a Carlsbad resident, has carved out a niche as a storyteller, connector and collaborator.
Now, Woldt, the creator of the Roast! West Coast newsletter and host of the “Coffee People” and “Coffee Smarter” podcasts, recently partnered with Coffee Cycle Roasting to release Coffee Sensei, a medium roast blend that pays tribute to mentorship and shared growth. The collaboration reunites Woldt with Coffee Cycle founder Chris O’Brien, who first hired him as a barista when opening his Pacific Beach café years ago, Woldt said.
