A fun-filled, busy Saturday at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens concluded with the announcement of the winners in the Scarecrow Contest.
800 people enjoyed the 17th Fall Fun Festival on a beautiful sunny Fall weekend.
26 families created beautiful, silly, and good old-fashioned scarecrows at home and delivered them to the Gardens, where they will stay all year.
The judges were VERY impressed – and hard-pressed to choose the winners!
Three scarecrow winners were announced, and the families chose from the gift card prizes and plants donated by Vista businesses: BEST Pizza, Lamppost Pizza, Little Cakes Kitchen, AVBG family membership, and UPG plants.
Every family that made a scarecrow received a Handel’s cone card to enjoy later.
The scarecrows will stay at the Gardens all year, until August 2026.
The Gardens are open every day, so all are welcome to visit and check out the new lineup!
The Gardens are located at the top of the hill inside Brengle Terrace Park.
