BONSALL, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle, possibly a Mazda, involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at approximately 12:35 a.m., an adult male pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle on northbound Interstate 15, south of Old Highway 395, in Bonsall. For reasons still under investigation, the involved vehicle fled the scene following the collision.
Based on preliminary findings, investigators believe the suspect vehicle may be a Mazda with left front-end and/or undercarriage damage.
