OCEANSIDE, CA — On Monday, November 10, 2025, at approximately 6:46 p.m., the Oceanside Police Department responded to reports of a severe collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of Mission Avenue and Francesca Drive.
Responding officers and emergency personnel arrived on scene. They located a male adult who had been struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe that was heading eastbound on Mission Avenue and Francesca Drive. Despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian, an Oceanside resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver remained on scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the collision.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The Oceanside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has additional information is asked to contact Traffic Investigator Ibrahim Serdah at (760) 435-4769.
