Narcotics Offenders, Ignacio Zaragoza (DOB:04/14/1990) and Joshua Williams (DOB: 06/24/1981), were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and conspiring to smuggle it into Sheriff jail facilities

On July 17, 2026, deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Mail Processing Unit discovered inbound mail that was laced with methamphetamine and addressed to Incarcerated Person (IP) Ignacio Zaragoza (DOB:04/14/1990). The contraband was seized, and detectives began their investigation into Zaragoza and the then-unknown sender.
Detectives identified the sender as Joshua Williams (06/24/1981), who confirmed the contraband was sent to Zaragoza. Detectives were able to locate and arrest Williams on July 30, 2026, when he was found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine, additional papers manufactured to be mailed, and equipment to produce more. Zaragoza was also searched while in jail and found to be in possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Both Zaragoza and Williams were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Conspiracy, and Bringing/Sending a Controlled Substance to Jail. As a reminder to those sending controlled substances or narcotics into jail/prison, it is a felony and carries up to a 6-year prison sentence.
