The Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a sexual assault suspect from a crime in Vista.
On August 19, around 9:40 pm, a 29-year-old female was walking to her vehicle in the 2100 block of E Vista Way in Vista. A stranger ran up behind her and sexually assaulted her. The victim fought back and eventually escaped.
The suspect, who is believed to be a stranger, was described as a 20-year-old male of unknown race, about 5’2″, 130 pounds, wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask. No other physical identifiers are known for the suspect.
Detectives responded to the scene and canvassed the area, seeking additional witnesses and evidence. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying and locating the suspect.
