Vista, CA — The Vista Chamber of Commerce and its Latino Business Outreach Committee are proud to announce the return of Vista’s Fiestas Patrias, now in its third year, bringing together residents, families, businesses, and community organizations for a celebration of Hispanic heritage, culture, and community. The event will take place on Sunday, September 13 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Linda Rhoades Recreation Center in Vista (600 N Santa Fe Ave.) with free admission.
As a community where approximately 50% of residents identify as Hispanic or Latino, Vista’s Fiestas Patrias provides an important opportunity to recognize and celebrate the rich cultural traditions that are an essential part of Vista’s identity. More importantly, the event is designed to create a welcoming space where everyone in the community can come together, experience culture, enjoy live entertainment, and celebrate as one community.
This year’s celebration will feature an exciting lineup of live performances, family activities, games, contests, and cultural traditions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several fun contests throughout the event, including new competitions designed to bring the community into the celebration:
Historia Contest — We’re all here for the party but do we know why we celebrate this holiday? Test out your knowledge of Mexican history!
Best Dressed Vestimenta Tradicional Contest — Celebrate Mexican culture and heritage by showcasing your favorite traditional attire. Open to everyone!
Lotería — A returning favorite, where attendees have to visit all the booths to win!
The entertainment lineup will highlight the beauty and diversity of Mexican dance and music, featuring performances from:

Grito de Independencia Ceremony with the Mexican Consulate in San Diego
Mariachi Internacional SD
Ballet Folklorico Moncayo
Danza de los Diablos
Ballet Folklorico Sangre Mestiza
Vista’s Fiestas Patrias is a family-friendly celebration with plenty of activities for children. Jump and Splash Party Rentals will provide an exciting way for kids to play and have fun, while a dedicated free kids activities section will offer additional entertainment for young attendees.
The Vista Chamber and its Latino Business Outreach Committee extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the City of Vista, Vista Unified School District, Watkins Wellness, EDCO, Sharp Healthcare, and County Supervisor Jim Desmond for their support of Vista’s Fiestas Patrias.
