Oceanside, CA – The inaugural Oceanside ʻUkulele Festival will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Oceanside Civic Center Library Plaza, Courtyard and Community Rooms, located at 330 North Coast Highway.
The festival will feature performances and workshops by Grammy award-winning artist Daniel Ho, renowned internet educator Bernadette Plazola, Adrian Demain, Sophia Romero, Sho Humphries, Yoshi Hana, and Nolan Yoshimoto; open mic opportunities and local instrument showcases with Romero Creations and Ohana Music; children’s craft activities; and food and art vendors.
Performances will take place in the Civic Center Plaza, with the Open Mic in Civic Center Library Courtyard. Sign-ups are first come first served. Workshops will be held in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms. The event will culminate in a group performance of Strummin’ by the Oceanside, an original song written by Daniel Ho for this festival.
Workshop Schedule (Free with limited capacity based on first come first served):
• 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. – Kid’s Workshop with Bernadette Plazola
• 12:30 to 1:10 p.m. – Strum Along Jam with Daniel Ho & Bernadette Plazola for Confident Beginner/Intermediate
• 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. – Japanese Music on ʻUkulele with Yoshi Hana
• 3:10 to 3:30 p.m. – Mr. Sandman on ʻUkulele with Nolan Yoshimoto
