The Vallecitos Water District named three beautiful, water-efficient landscape makeover projects as its 2026 Landscape Makeover Contest Winners. The winners were presented at the Vallecitos board of directors’ October meeting.
Although each of the three landscape winners drew on different inspirations and approaches to designing and installing their gardens, all use their gardens as natural extensions of their homes, blending indoor and outdoor living.
All three winners prioritize sustainability by incorporating low-water plants and their landscapes are all buzzing with life, thanks to thoughtful choices that attract pollinators, like bees and butterflies.
