On Tuesday, April 23rd, at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Street between Pier View Way and Seagaze Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic for the installation of a construction crane for the Beach Resort Hotels project. A temporary construction fence will be installed at that time.
If you are going north on Pacific Street, you will be directed to turn onto Seagaze Drive. If you are going south on Pacific Street, you will be directed to turn onto Pier View Way. The area will be signed appropriately.
The street should re-open at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26th.
In other news, about 45,000 yards of material have been excavated from the site. Because the City of Oceanside’s Opportunistic Sand Permit does not allow “opportunistic” materials to be placed on the beach between March 1 and September 15, the excavated material is being taken to a site in Vista.
Concrete pouring has begun with the first 500 yards forming the tower crane foundation.
