Just as Jackson is about to enter the fifth grade, his family falls on hard times – again – and the last thing he needs is a visit from his old friend, Crenshaw, a very large and outspoken cat who may or may not be a figment of the young boy’s imagination. Like it or not Crenshaw is not going anywhere till he helps Jackson. In her singular voice, Katherine Applegate, Newbery-Medal-winning author of The One and Only Ivan, once again touches readers with her unique combination of humor and deeply felt emotion.
