Kids in the Garden Class “Nature’s Treasures Scavenger Hunt”
Alta Vista Botanical Gardens is now in our twelfth year of getting kids outdoors to discover their environment, enjoy nature, dig into gardening, learn about natural resources, and to share art and music. This class and programs for children provided at AVBG have received a national award from the General Federation of Women’s Clubs; come join us!
This month at Kids in the Garden we will be on January 11, 2020 taking a tour of the Gardens for our “Scavenger Hunt for Nature’s Treasures.” We will discover intriguing plants, garden features, and nature’s treasures. Class time is from 10 am to 12 noon. Should be a fun day in the Gardens and nature! We emphasize hands-on discovery and fun for all! Adults are always welcome!
Your registration for the class includes your visit to the Children’s Garden: the Enchanted Garden Tube Tunnels, Fall Fun Festival scarecrows on display, the fantastic Children’s Music Garden, the Turtle and Dino Dig, and the Discovery Trail.
Class fee is $5 per child for two hours of FUN and learning. Fees support the development of the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens Children’s Garden. Adults will stay with their children and pay the $5 Garden entry fee to Farmer Jones. When you join and buy a family membership in Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, the monthly Kids in the Garden class is FREE for a year. Donations are gratefully accepted.
Family Membership in the Gardens: what a great gift idea!
