Like all of the theaters producing live theater productions, Vista’s Broadway Theater has been closed for the past two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This popular theater is known as San Diego County’s BIGGEST little theater producing a variety of plays and musicals throughout the year as well as running summer camps for young performers. The theater has been open since 2004 when owners Randall Hickman and Doug Davis brought live theater to 340 East Broadway in Vista. Since that time, Randall and Doug have produced 7 plays and musicals, 5 youth shows and 5 drama camps each year, only taking three weeks off each year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a halt to all theatre productions and to date have no time line set for reopening. The bills do not stop when the lights are down in the theatre. Vista Broadway is asking for your help to keep the theatre operational until such time as they can open the doors once again. Donations can be made on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pg/Vistas-Broadway-Theater-192749574712/posts/?ref=page_internal or you can mail a donation to The Broadway Theatre, 340 East Broadway, Vista, Ca. 92084. If you would like to donate using a credit card you can call their office at (760) 806-7905.
The arts are just another part of our society that is suffering during this bizarre and unusual time. If you love live theatre and want to see that part of society rebound when things begin to fully open up, Randall and Doug would appreciate any assistance you could give them. This is a wonderful part of Historic Downtown Vista.

Do your part and help save this BIGGEST little theater.
