This Weekend Twin Oaks Valley/San Elijo Corridor Paving

Work continues on a major paving project along Twin Oaks Valley Road and San Elijo Road. Pavement work for the City’s annual surface seal project will continue through this weekend and into next week. With this pavement work, traffic control measures including temporary lane closures will be implemented. The roughly $2 million project will repair and resurface one of San Marcos’ most highly traveled corridors stretching between Rancho Santa Fe Road and State Route 78.

Repair work happening this weekend and next week includes:
Saturday, May 15 – Slurry seal application to the outside lanes of Twin Oaks Valley Road from SR-78 to Barham Drive & outside lanes of San Elijo Road from Wild Canyon Road to Baker Street.
The lanes receiving the slurry seal will be closed.
SR-78 off-ramps will be closed at Twin Oaks Valley Road.
The southbound Twin Oaks Valley Road traffic entering the on-ramp to westbound SR-78 will remain open.
The northbound and southbound Twin Oaks Valley Road on-ramp for eastbound SR-78 will be closed.
The northbound Twin Oaks Valley Road on-ramp for westbound SR-78 will be closed.

Sunday, May 16 – Slurry seal application to the inside lanes of Twin Oaks Valley Road from SR-78 to Barham Drive & inside lanes of San Elijo Road from Wild Canyon Road to Baker Street.
The lanes receiving the slurry seal will be closed.
SR-78 off-ramps will be closed at Twin Oaks Valley Road.
The southbound Twin Oaks Valley Road traffic entering the on-ramp to westbound SR-78 will remain open.
The northbound Twin Oaks Valley Road on-ramp for eastbound SR-78 and for westbound SR-78 will be open.
The southbound Twin Oaks Valley Road on-ramp for eastbound SR-78 will be closed.

Monday, May 17 – Slurry seal application to the outside lanes of San Elijo Road from Rancho Santa Fe Road to Baker Street.
The lanes receiving the slurry seal will be closed.
