On June 8th, Escondido Fire was dispatched to 1882 Foothill View Pl. for a reported vehicle fire with an occupant inside. On arrival, crews found a vehicle on the side of the road with evidence of fire and an adult male severely burned in the driver’s seat. Crews provided care and transferred the patient to a waiting air ambulance for transport to the Burn Center. EPD and SDSO were both on scene to investigate.
On June 8, Escondido Fire was dispatched to a reported roll-over vehicle accident near Bear Valley Middle School. Upon arrival, crews reported several power poles down and blocking the roadway. Bear Valley Parkway was closed in both directions throughout the night for repair.
On June 9, fire crews were dispatched to the Sierra Fire on Camp Pendleton. Units worked throughout the night and were later released back to the City.
