City of Escondido Drought-Related Water Conservation

Last week, the State of CA expanded the emergency drought declaration and called for Californians to voluntarily reduce water use by 15%. Though facing hot and dry conditions, the San Diego region is thankfully drought-safe this summer due to planning and investments in new water supplies and storage. The City of Escondido thanks and encourages our customers to continue to use water wisely. Use everyday conservation tactics like taking shorter showers and reducing sprinkler run times; as well as long-term
conservation measures such as replacing lawns with drought-resistant plants. For conservation tips, device rebates, and other water-efficiency ideas, visit watersmartsd.org/ or escondido.org/water-conservation-1
