Park Improvement Project
Bub Williamson Park is undergoing a comprehensive improvement upgrade to expand the park’s use for the community. This project is being partially financed with Community Development Block Grant funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Park renovations include a new children’s playground, picnic areas, remodeled restrooms, and a loop trail with fitness stations.
Construction Project Update
Construction on the Bub Williamson Park improvements are progressing and the park is expected to open by October, 2021. The park remains closed throughout the construction.
Sidewalk and stairs are 80 percent constructed.
Shrubs, ground cover, and trees are being planted throughout the park.
Playground equipment has been installed.
Pre-cast furniture, drinking fountains, bike racks, and workout equipment delivered.
Electrical and lighting completed in the restroom building. Plumbing partially completed.
