A recent question and answer session with Flora Verde Dispensary Owner Justin Christman, outlined the recent Vista City Council unanimous vote to allow recreational marijuana sales at the eleven dispensaries in the city. Once each dispensary has paid the $329 license fee and been approved, they are allowed to expand their business from just medicinal purchases to recreational adult use for those 21 years of age and older, with a valid ID card. Justin said they have started recreational sales as of August 24th and have already seen an up-swing in people entering his business to make purchases and to find out more about what they offer. He is most proud of spearheading the drive to get recreational marijuana sales approved by the City Council of Vista. Justin said he expects more people to stop in and hopes their gross sales will see a 10-50% increase. Flora Verde had a staff of 10 and he has added 2 additional staff to cover the 13-hour days, 7 days a week.
Flora Verde has become an active member of the community, joining the Chamber of Commerce, advertising in the Vista Magazine and being featured on the Adopt-a-Sign program at the majority of the on and off ramps to the 78 freeway within Vista, periodically cleaning up these on and off ramps.
Justin said they are currently in the process of expanding the business with the acquisition of the business next to them, which will be turned into the delivery side of their sales. This 50% increase will increase the size of Flora Verde to 3,600 sq. ft.
Flora Verde currently offers over 800 different products ranging from hybrid strains to premium cannabis flowers, pre-rolled, bulk and cannabis-infused balms, oils and pills, CBD products, edibles and much more.
