Workshop for Gardeners and Farmers This Tuesday

As the Coordinator of the Vista Farmers Market, I have seen two converging trends . . . more people wanting to sell what they make and grow (due to the weird economy), and many people not knowing about any way to sell except at farmers markets.
That is why I created this workshop to give people more options for growing good food, and creating a deeper base of people who know how to make money from what they grow.
Making Money
Selling What You Grow
(or Make) in your Garden or on your Farm

Nine methods (including farmers markets) and places to market crops and products such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, mushrooms — eggs, bee products, live animals — seeds, plants, flowers, and non-edible crafts

This workshop DOES NOT include:
> What to sell (you should decide the crops to grow)
> Raw meats, processed or cooked foods,
such things as beverages and cottage foods
> and only lightly covers Roadside Stands

This is the only workshop that covers every location (controlled by you or others) where you can sell what you grow (at home, at farmers market, on-farm, and six other places . . . along with the regulations you need to know, exemptions and unregulated crops, packaging and labeling where required, what you can delay (when getting started), dealing with the health and agriculture departments, and the basic methods and equipment for making more money selling direct.

Two identical workshops are scheduled:
Tuesday afternoon 3 pm to 6 pm — October 19th
or
Saturday from 2 pm to 5 pm — October 23th

If you are interested, but these days do not fit for you, let me know – mark@justbalancing.com

These three hour workshops are being held on a run-down, but slowly reviving farm, Orchard<>Otter in inland Oceanside, specific directions will be forwarded to those who buy tickets, the nearest bus stop is 3-1/2 miles away. –

Classes will be indoors with ample air-flow. Everyone participating will need to wear a mask, double fabric that covers both mouth and nose.
