An exciting new “rebate” program is available for CALIFORNIA Adopt-A-Highway sponsors! The CLEAN CALIFORNIA Adopt-A-Highway Stipend is designed to help eliminate litter on the roads and the state waterways.
Starting now, the California Department of Transportation will pay a rebate for each segment sponsored and cleaned by us on your behalf for safety reasons. You are eligible for payment of up to $250 per sponsored segment. This program is state-run and separate from Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Service of America, Inc. (AAHLRSA).Nothing about your sponsorship changes, EXCEPT that the state will pay you directly each Quarter. There is a separate form to fill out once you secure your location through us to register with the state*
AAHLRSA hopes that your organization takes advantage of this offer. It will significantly reduce your overall cost of Adopting-A-Highway.
Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Service of America, Inc. will clean your segment once you sign up with us . As an added service, AAHLRSA will submit all required permits and monthly reports (number of bags, number of workers, hours worked and a photo) for each Adopt-A-Highway segment directly to the DOT.
