16th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Event & Walk Jan 29

January 29, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland celebrates our 16th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Walk. The event will be held at United Methodist Church of Vista, 490 S. Melrose. Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. Fellowship Hall Lower level. Our guest speaker is San Diego County District Attorney, Summer Stephan, at 10:30 a.m. Following her presentation, The Walk will commence at about 11. It’s approximately 1.25 miles round trip on Melrose Ave. as we carry STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING signs!

When we return we will hear from Susan Johnson, Director Hope House, a newly purchased safe haven for survivors of sex trafficking and Marjore Saylor, Director of Client Services Alabaster Jar Project.,

10:00 a.m. – Registration
10:30 a.m. – Guest Speaker SD District Attorney, Summer Stephan speaks
11:00 a.m. – 1-1/2 mile walk roundtrip south on Melrose to Sunset Drive and back

Information tables and STOP TRAFFICKING signs will be provided.

If necessary, we will convene outdoors. As a reminder, we are required to wear masks inside the Fellowship Hall, Lower level
