GIVE BLOOD GET RUGBY!
Saving lives with quality blood services in partnership with the community.
Did you know, that sports fans and blood donors aren’t the only ones passionate about helping their communities?
The San Diego Blood Bank and the San Diego Legion are no different: the two teams joined forces in 2020 and have been successful in promoting blood donations within the community.
“We are proud to partner with the San Diego Legion and to offer this opportunity to our blood donors,” said David Wells, San Diego Blood Bank CEO. “We will continue to partner with the Legion throughout the years to bring more opportunities to our community.”
WHY DONATE?
Blood is essential to help individuals survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. The need for blood is constant.
The San Diego Blood Bank currently operates eight local donor centers, 10 bloodmobiles, and 13 blood delivery vehicles. The centers are located in El Cajon, Carmel Valley, Vista, Sabre Springs, Escondido, Liberty Station, Chula Vista Centers and on Gateway Center Avenue.
San Diego Legion will be hosting a mobile blood drive at SD Legion Headquarters on January 15th, 2022 from 10AM-3PM
