I wanted to inform you about an event we have in the City of Vista this Saturday (January 22nd, 2022). There has been an increase in catalytic converter thefts regionally across the county so I have coordinated an event with Norm Reeves Honda in Vista to engrave catalytic converters for free! The event will take place from 9am-1pm. Please feel free to send this flyer via email (or print out) and spread the word! There will be another engraving event hosted in the City of San Marcos in February. Details will be provided in the upcoming weeks.
Why have your catalytic converter on your vehicle engraved? Having your catalytic converter engraved can assist law enforcement in the investigation process if it is ever stolen. Think of it being like a serial number located on a firearm or bicycle. The engraved converter will be registered into a data base (associated with your license plate number) to further assist with investigation purposes. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome at this event. You will be able to drive up OR you can scan the QR code on the flyer to make an appointment.
To schedule an appointment, scan the QR code, it will take you to the Norm Reeves Honda appointments page. The individual will have to input their email or phone and vehicle information. There should be an option titled “Catalytic Converter Engraving Event”. Please select this option after inputting your information. It will give you time slots available to choose from.
