The Re-Elect Supervisor Jim Desmond campaign announced the endorsement of the professional firefighters of the City of Oceanside.
“On behalf of the Oceanside Firefighters Association, we are proud to endorse Supervisor Jim Desmond’s reelection to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors,” said Hayden Harshman, PAC Chair of the Oceanside Firefighters Association 3736.
Harshman continued, “We appreciate his strong record of support for fire protection services in San Diego County. Most important, he has demonstrated that he truly cares about helping the men and women who provide emergency medical service in Oceanside and protect our community from deadly fires.”
Supervisor Desmond commented, “I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Oceanside Firefighters Association. Fires are a constant threat to our region and, as Supervisor, I will do everything within my power to ensure that the firefighters who run toward the danger have the support they need to keep North County safe. The men and women of Oceanside Fire do remarkable work in protecting us and providing critical emergency response, and I deeply appreciate their support.”
Supervisor Jim Desmond was first elected in 2018 to represent North County on the Board of Supervisors. A Navy veteran, Supervisor Desmond was a career pilot for Delta Airlines.
