Supervisor Horn Requests Fee Waiver to Replace Documents Lost in Lilac Fire

Supervisor Bill Horn wants to make the recovery process for local fire victims as easy as possible. Today during a special Board meeting, Supervisor Horn requested the County of San Diego waive Assessor fees, Recorder fees, and County Clerk fees for the replacement of important family documents lost in the Lilac Fire.
This means property owners affected by the wildfire can get replacement copies of birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, dissolution of marriage records, deeds and other property related paperwork at zero cost.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously in support of the request. The resolution goes into effect immediately.

Supervisor Bill Horn, 5th District, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101
