The Veterans’ Writing Group San Diego County Hosts Monthly Meeting Dec 17th

The Veterans’ Writing Group San Diego County will host its monthly meeting on 12/17/22 at the Veterans Association of North County (VANC) 1617 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92058. (11 AM-2PM)

All Veterans, dependents and active-duty military members are welcome to fully participate live or by Zoom.

Before Richard’s presentation we will update our conversion to a 501(c)3, and sign up for an opportunity to read with the Vista Rotary Club on January 10, 2023, at 7:30 A. M.

Our guest speaker will be Richard Lederer, an American linguist, author, speaker, and teacher. He is best known for his books on the English language and on wordplay such as puns, oxymorons, and anagrams. He has been dubbed “the Wizard of Idiom,” “Attila the Pun,” and “Conan the Grammarian.” – Richard will speak 12-1.
After Richard’s presentation we will read and critique.

Richard also writes a column twice monthly for the Union Tribune. He has been a guest speaker in past meetings. He attended Harvard University, University of New Hampshire, Harvard Law School, and Haverford College. This presentation is very special.
