High School Student Wins Tri City Hospital Billboard Contest

A Mission Vista High School (MVHS) sophomore was chosen as the winner of TCMC’s Billboard Design Challenge to create a billboard announcing the hospital’s exciting Emergency Room Remodel project beginning this Spring.

The billboard appears along Hwy 78 near Plaza Drive in Oceanside. TCMC’s External Affairs Officer Aaron Byzak fostered the partnership with MVHS’s Career and Technical Education Program to create opportunities like this to showcase talent right here in the cities the hospital serves.

Ethan’s teacher, Laura Lee Juliano, was overjoyed to provide her students with this rare opportunity. “It’s one thing to teach the kids how to use a platform like Photoshop and assign projects. It’s so much more valuable to provide a window into the working world on how what I am teaching them could translate into a career.”
