The city will be launching a $135,000 shop local incentive program in mid-August that will utilize the city’s Vista Bucks Program. Vista Bucks is an electronic debit card program that can be used by most point-of-sale terminals found in local businesses. Business owners receive payments just like other debit and credit card payments. There is no cost for businesses to participate. However, businesses must sign up for the program in advance in order to accept payments in the form of Vista Bucks.
