The white concrete structure known as the Pier View Way Bridge was constructed in 1927, and despite maintenance over the years, the bridge has reached the end of its useful life and requires restoration or reconstruction. A study to rehabilitate or replace the bridge was launched, funded by Measure X, including evaluating the needs of the Lifeguard Headquarters below. Recommended options are scheduled for City Council consideration on August 23. More information
