Tired of having NO CLUE on where to start a month before separation because there’s 300 voices screaming at you to each do something different?
Navigating the civilian world is challenging. There are so many non-profits, programs, organizations, etc.. to navigate in order to land with two feet on the ground once you separate from active duty.
The San Diego Veteran’s Coalition is launching a pilot program to help active-duty service members nearing separation and veterans navigate the wild world of civilian life with a tailored sponsor.
Your sponsor will help you with anything you need so you don’t get lost in a sea of frustration and confusion post military service. All you must do is show up and be willing to do what it takes to land on your feet.
On Saturday, September 23rd, Supervisor Desmond & the San Diego Veterans Coalition are hosting a kickoff event for the program and is the best opportunity to connect with a sponsor.
Don’t wait. You’ve spent years dedicating your life to protect and provide for our community, now let us do the favor to help you in return. Bring your family! We’ll have some activities for the kids and free lunch!
