Escondido Public Library Hosts Create It @ Your Library for Teens

Escondido, CA – Escondido Public Library announces the next series of the craft-based monthly program, Create It @ Your Library, for teens and tweens ages 12 to 18 years old. Create It @ Your Library will take place in February, March, and April, on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The first meeting will be on February 21, 2018 in the Library’s Turrentine Room.

A variety of craft projects and techniques will be introduced at the following hands-on sessions:

Voodoo Doll on February 21, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Learn some basic sewing skills by making your own pincushion voodoo doll.

•Rube Goldberg Machine on March 21, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Create a complex contraption that uses multiple devices to complete a task utilizing the domino effect.

•Beading on April 18, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Put shiny objects (beads) together to create a one-of-a-kind item.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Escondido Public Library.

All craft supplies will be provided. Registration is not required; however, early arrival is recommended as supplies may be limited.
