19th Annual Vista Unified School District Festival of the Arts: A Day of Creativity and Community

[VISTA, CA] – The 19th Annual Vista Unified School District Festival of the Arts, held on Saturday, October 21st, in downtown Vista, was a resounding success. The event brought together students, parents, educators, and community members in a celebration of art, talent, and community spirit.

Downtown Vista came alive with creativity as Main Street was adorned with various displays of student artworks. This display was a testament to the immense talent that thrives within the Vista community.

Throughout the day, three stages played host to an impressive lineup of 36 diverse student performances. Audiences were treated to a wide range of acts, from enchanting Elementary Ukulele Clubs to captivating Ballet Folkloriko, wind, string, and drum ensembles, as well as dynamic dance and theater performances, and much more.

The Vista Education Foundation (VEF) played a role at the event, with several board members in attendance. They generously gifted five Chromebooks to fortunate VUSD students, providing them with crucial tools for their educational journey. Notably, Susan Stuber, a dedicated educator and VEF board member, was instrumental in driving the success of the entire festival.

Dr. Doyle, the Superintendent of Vista Unified School District, took a moment to honor the teachers and educators whose dedication forms the backbone of the district’s educational mission.

Dr. Doyle remarked, “None of this would be happening if we didn’t have amazing educators, and we have so many amazing educators in this district.”

He also expressed gratitude to various leaders, including VUSD Board President Martha Alvarado, VUSD Board Members Rena Marrocco and Rosemary Smith, Vista Education Foundation President Vicente Hinojosa, and Valerie Robinson from the Vista Teachers Association, for their unwavering support and commitment to providing students with a well-rounded education.

The 19th Annual Vista Unified School District Festival of the Arts was a true testament to the power of community, creativity, and education. The event would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of students, parents, educators, and the generous support of local businesses and organizations.
