The week of Nov. 27, construction teams will be paving Discovery Street from Via Vera Cruz to South Bent Avenue. Flaggers will be in place at the entrances to Joy Court, Discovery Drive (the new street between Lakeshore Drive and Joy Court) and Lakeview Mobiles Estates throughout the week. On Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., a temporary lane closure will be in place on Discovery Drive. Besides this closure, access to the Joy Court, Discovery Drive and Lakeview Mobiles Estates will be maintained for community members through flagging.
After paving has been completed, the construction team will stripe the road and work on timing operations for traffic lights at Via Vera Cruz, Bent Avenue and Craven Road. The widening of Discovery Street is still on track to be complete before the end of the year.

All the businesses are open during the Via Vera Cruz Road closure and are accessible from San Marcos Boulevard.
