SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos’ Jordan Vasquez collected two double-doubles to earn this week’s CCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award.
Vasquez led the Cougars to back-to-back wins on the road against Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona. Her first double-double came against the Coyotes on Thursday where she posted 20 points and 15 rebounds. On Saturday, she posted 22 points and 17 rebounds against the Broncos.
She was 15-of-27 from the floor and had six assists on the weekend. Her two double-doubles marked her eighth and ninth of the season and the 34th and 35th of her career.
The redshirt senior from Moreno Valley, Calif. is 22nd in scoring in the CCAA (11.0), ninth in rebounding (6.7), and has the fourth-highest field-goal percentage (.496). Click here to see the CCAA leaderboard.
