Oceanside, CA – On Sunday, March 17, 2024, at approximately 11:35 pm, the Oceanside Police Department responded to calls of a fatal injury collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist near the intersection of SR-76 and Singh Way. The victim, Tracey Gross, succumbed to her injuries the following day.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and remained at large until this morning. This morning at approximately 9am, the Oceanside Police Major Accident Investigation Team took Christian Howard, a 26-year-old Riverside resident into custody for Gross Vehicular Manslaughter and Hit and Run resulting in Death. This occurred at his place of work in Corona, CA.
