FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN FALLBROOK

FALLBROOK, Calif.- Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Oceanside Area office responded to reports of a motorcycle down in the area of Via Monserate and Linda Vista Drive in the unincorporated community of Fallbrook.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., a 40-year-old female from Fallbrook was riding a black Harley Davidson Dyna Glide low Rider in the westbound lane of Via Monserate, west of Linda Vista Drive. For reasons being investigated, the Harley Davidson overturned, and the female rider collided with a nearby retaining wall.

The California Highway Patrol and North County Fire/Paramedics responded to the scene. The rider was transported to a local area hospital, where despite lifesaving efforts, succumbed to her injuries. It is not believed alcohol and/or drugs contributed to the cause of this collision. The identity of the rider will be released through the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
