VISTA, CA (October 3, 2024) — Aaron Byzak, a respected healthcare advocate and executive and lifelong resident of the Tri-City area, has continued to gain momentum in his campaign for the Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors in Zone 5, securing key endorsements from a broad coalition of healthcare professionals, community leaders, and organizations. Byzak’s growing list of supporters now includes more than 25 physician leaders at Tri-City Medical Center, along with the enthusiastic endorsement of the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee (MEC), reinforcing his position as the top candidate in the November 2024 election.

The Medical Executive Committee, the highest medical authority at Tri-City Medical Center, is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of patient care and overseeing medical staff operations for more than 600 affiliated physicians. Their unanimous endorsement of Byzak underscores his strong track record of leadership, commitment to improving healthcare, and deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the region’s medical center.

In a letter to Tri-City’s physicians announcing their endorsement of Byzak and three incumbent Board candidates including Gigi Gleason and Adela Sanchez of Oceanside and Dr. Nina Chaya of Carlsbad, Dr. Henry Showah, Chief of Staff for Tri-City Medical Center remarked, “These candidates have served Tri-City Medical Center with distinction and we appreciate their continued commitment to our community.”

“I am honored to have the trust and support of so many leaders at Tri-City Medical Center,” said Byzak. “The endorsement from the Medical Executive Committee speaks volumes about the confidence our local medical professionals have in my ability to champion patient care, improve the healthcare experience, and help guide the hospital through its future transitions.”

In addition to the overwhelming backing from healthcare professionals, Byzak has also received endorsements from a wide array of local leaders, community organizations, and elected officials. These include California State Assemblymember Laurie Davies, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, Oceanside Police Officers’ Association, the North San Diego County Association of Realtors, the Lincoln Club Business League, the Latino American Political Association, and California Women’s Leadership Association PAC, among many others.

Byzak’s platform focuses on enhancing the quality of healthcare services at Tri-City Medical Center, rebuilding trust within the community, and significantly improving the patient experience. A major component of his campaign is redeveloping the hospital’s Oceanside campus and delivering a partnership with an affiliate health system partner.
