On 10/23/24 at about 1713 hours, deputies responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at the intersection of East Vista Way and Townsite Drive in Vista. A male in his 60s was crossing in the crosswalk when he was struck by a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a female in her 30s. Despite lifesaving efforts, the male succumbed to his injuries. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor for either party. The Vista Traffic Division is handling the investigation.

Colisión de Tráfico Fatal – Vista
Peatón atropellado y muerto en una colisión de tráfico
El 23/10/24 aproximadamente a las 1713 horas, los oficials respondieron a una colisión de vehículo contra peatón en la intersección de East Vista Way y Townsite Drive en Vista. Un hombre de unos 60 años estaba cruzando en el paso de peatones cuando fue atropellado por una Dodge Ram 1500 2024 conducida por una mujer de unos 30 años. A pesar de los esfuerzos por salvarle la vida, el hombre sucumbió a sus heridas. El conductor permaneció en la escena y cooperó con la investigación. El alcohol no parece ser un factor para ninguna de las partes. La División de Tráfico de Vista está a cargo de la investigación.
