Escondido, CA The City of Escondido and the Kiwanis Club of Escondido-Hidden Valley are excited to announce the Semi-Annual Charity Trout Derby! This family-friendly event is set to take place
Event Highlights: Nov 23rd, and 24th 2024,offering a fun-filled weekend of fishing, prizes, and great food for the whole community.
No California Fishing License Required!
Park Entrance Fee: $6 per vehicle
Fishing Permits:
$20 Adult
$14 Junior (ages 13-17)
$14 Senior (ages 60+)
Kiddy Pond: FREE for children! Poles and bait will be provided by the Sr. Anglers group.
Food & Beverages:
Enjoy a variety of tasty treats throughout the day!
Kona Ice Vendor on-site
Hot Breakfast Sandwiches: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM each day
BBQ Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Bratwurst, and Sodas: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM each day

Participants will have a chance to win an array of exciting prizes, including:
Grand Prize
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place (Overall)
1st and 2nd Place (Each Day) for both adults and juniors (12 prizes in total)
Plus, 15 Tagged Fish with additional prizes!
This event is not only a fun outing but also a great way to give back, with all proceeds supporting local community programs through the Kiwanis Club of Escondido-Hidden Valley.
