Major Injury Collision – Vista

The Vista Sheriff’s Station is investigating a collision that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with major injuries.

On Monday, November 11, just after 2:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call about a collision on the 800 block of Sycamore Avenue in the city of Vista. Callers told dispatchers that an adult male had been struck by a vehicle and was down in the roadway.

The male was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators.

A preliminary investigation shows the adult male ran eastbound across Sycamore Avenue outside of the crosswalk and was stuck by a vehicle. The road was closed while the investigation was being conducted.
