THE SAN DIEGO CLIPPERS BEAT THE TEXAS LEGENDS

Oceanside, Calif. January 10, 2025 – The San Diego Clippers (4-3) to the Texas Legends (2-5), 105-89.

The San Diego Clippers used a 16-4 run to end the first quarter to take an 18-point lead. Cam Christie, Kobe Brown, Kai Jones, and Garret Denbow combined for 26 points in the opening quarter. A back-and-forth second quarter concluded with the Clippers maintaining a 14-point lead at halftime, with Kobe Brown leading all scorers with 14 points. The Clippers sprinted out the second half scoring the first nine points and increasing their lead to 23 points. After leading by as many as 24 points in the third quarter, the Clippers entered the fourth quarter with a 17-point lead behind Kai Jones and Trentyn Flowers eight points. The Clippers finished the game strong, defeating the Legends 105-89.

The Clippers were led by Kobe Brown, who scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Kai Jones contributed 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting and collected seven rebounds. Trentyn Flowers added 18 points, making 4 of 6 three-pointers, and had eight rebounds. Cam Christie finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Braxton Key recorded his fifth double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Garrett Denbow set a career high with 10 points. The Clippers’ defense held the Texas Legends to under 33 percent shooting from the field and 25 percent from three-point range, while the Clippers shot 40 percent from beyond the arc as a team. The Clippers finished the game strong, defeating the Legends 105-89.

The Legends were led by Jazian Gortman’s 20 points and six assists. Kessler Edwards followed with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
