The Vista Fire Fighter’s Association is proud to host the Annual Vista Fire Fighter’s Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, August 19th, 2019 at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, CA. The Vista Fire Fighter’s Association is honored to support one of our own local firefighters this year, Jimmy Williams, as well as Eric Branco from the Camp Pendleton Firefighter’s Assoc.
On April 14th, Jimmy Williams was on duty and suffered a traumatic brain injury after a fall. He was cared for by his own crew and immediately taken to Palomar Medical Center where they operated on him and removed a section of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain. Jimmy and his wife Natalie have two children, Jameson and Everly. While the outlook is positive for Jimmy, he will be going through ongoing therapy, and working on returning to duty.
Additionally, we are assisting Eric Branco, who is suffering from Hairy Cell Leukemia. On April 6th, Eric was diagnosed with this rare form of cancer, and has since gone through chemotherapy and had to stop working due to risk of infection. Eric has two children, Bianca and Louie.
We are soliciting your assistance and support in making this golf tournament a successful event, in which we can provide these two with needed financial assistance.
