April Water Fundraiser for the Vista Boys and Girls Club

Julie Delgado said, “The Boys and Girls Club literally saved my life as a single working mother of five.” They provided her kids transportation from school, sports, arts, crafts, and academic support during a crucial time in Delgado’s life.

Today, she works in the commercial lines department at Tague Insurance Agency (TIA) in Vista, where she shares glowing reports of her now-adult children and grandchildren with co-workers on a regular basis. “So, when I was asked to participate in a Boys and Girls Club Fundraiser, what a gift to be able to give back to the very organization that I owe so much to, and how very cool to be working for an employer that gets that fact, Julie said.”

Tague Insurance Agency launched a fundraiser last month encouraging employees to drink more water in support of the local Boys and Girls Club. All ten in-house employees, Delgado included, kept careful track of their water intake each workday in April, and agency founder Steve Tague assigned the club $0.05 for each recorded ounce. Tague, on his fifty-second year operating out of North County, remains optimistic in the post-COVID-19 world, looking for innovative ways to support his community. By the month’s end, TIA employees raised $488.05.

The fundraiser incidentally strengthened office camaraderie and individual wellness. TIA prioritizes its employee’s health and believes adequate amounts of water each day is a fundamental element of that end. “It was a fun and healthy challenge,” said employee Laura Mayer, “a great idea for a fundraiser.”

TIA is always looking to support North County by providing high-quality customer service and insurance coverage. Visit the website or call the office (760-509-4667) to get your free quote today and support future charitable efforts so that, as Delgado says, “Kids are given a place to feel secure and have a purpose.”
