On Saturday 6/20/20, at approximately 8:25 PM, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 500 block of Roja Street. A 32 year old female victim was attacked by a suspect, that was unknown to her, on the sidewalk. Witnesses described the suspect as a White male in his early 20’s, wearing an orange shirt and jeans. Initially it was believed by the hospital that the injuries were non-life threating. However, once she was in surgery it was found that the injuries were life threating. She was viciously attacked and sustained multiple stab wounds. Responding officers and detectives were able to locate security video footage of the suspect. The Victim remains in critical condition.
On Thursday 6/25/20, detectives were able to identify and arrest the suspect for Attempt Murder. He is identified as 23 year old Hunter Berger-Parks of Oceanside.
