Assistant City Manager Aly Zimmermann is leaving the City of Vista to become the City Manager of Rocklin, CA.
Ms. Zimmermann has been with the City of Vista since 2003 and began working as a Senior Management Analyst until she was promoted to Assistant to the City Manager in 2006. Vista City Manager Patrick Johnson appointed Ms. Zimmermann to the position of Assistant City Manager in 2012.

Aly is a leader with integrity and constant professionalism, and has proven herself to be extremely capable of handling responsibilities and oversight of complex projects,” said City Manager Patrick Johnson. “There is no doubt her experience, knowledge, management style and enthusiasm will be a great asset to the Rocklin community. On a personal note, Aly will be missed by all of the City of Vista team, members in the community, and members of the City Council. We wish her the best.”

I will miss working alongside City Manager Johnson who’s leadership style and exemplary commitment to the City is unmatched. ”
Ms. Zimmermann’s last day with the City will be on November 12, 2020.
