Operation HOPE – North County (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement) evolved out of a need identified by the City of Vista in 2003. The City reached out to members of the faith community to come to discuss providing shelter for homeless families with children.
Recently, Operation Hope started a Room Sponsorship Program. A family room sponsorship is $25,000 for two years, and this allows your generous contribution to provide on average, six families the opportunity to become self-sufficient.
This sponsorship gives the donor:
Naming rights to one family room.
Opportunity to provide an encouraging letter to families to be displayed in sponsored room.
Special recognition and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Last Thursday, November, 14th, the first room was sponsored by Biofilm, Inc. Lisa O’Carroll, President and CEO of Biofilm, Inc. was present for the ribbon cutting with other members of the Biofilm team. Lisa said, “Biofilm has been involved with Operation Hope by serving dinner, doing Easter egg hunts, Christmas activities, purchasing school supplies, new shoes, and fulfilling their needs. This is a great way of giving back through the facility and is a resource for people in Vista and North County. We are dedicated to changing lives for the better through the products we sell to our consumers and our community around us. We are located in the Business Park off of Poinsettia in Vista.” “We are happy to help play a role for people to getting back on their feet.”
The Ribbon Cutting was held by the Vista Chamber of Commerce and the Biofilm, Inc. team, and attended by Operation Hope Staff and Board Members.
